Fountain Central Mustangs are 2025 Bi-County Champs The Lady Mustangs capped off the 2025 year with a championship win, against the Covington Trojans, in the annual Holliday Bi-County Tournament. The Mustangs were all business in the win tonight. They forced 27 turnovers and held the Trojans to just 15 points. With this defensive effort the Mustangs set a new record for fewest points allowed in the Holliday Tournament championship game. Several Mustangs were able to contribute in the win. Leading the way for the Mustangs was Kendyl Nolan with 14 points, going 6 for 6 from the floor, 4 assists, and a rebound. Bella Bacon followed with 9 points, 5 steals, 2 rebounds, and an assist. Citrus Wesley had a great evening pulling in 8 rebounds, scoring 8 points, 3 steals, and an assist. Aubrey Ashwill also had a pretty good evening pulling in 8 rebounds, scoring 8 points, and a steal. Henley Good played a really clean game scoring 7 points, earning 7 assists, and 2 steals. Contributing off of the bench this evening, Cadence White finished with 6 points, 2 rebounds, an assists, and a steal. Cassandra Wildman went 1/1 from behind the arc. Lilly Gregory and Kynleigh Elkins came in and pulled in a couple of rebounds. Because of the great leadership of the Lady Mustangs, all players were able to get some exposure to varsity minutes. The Mustangs will resume play on January 8th. They travel to Western Boone High School. Junior varsity will play at 6:00pm and varsity will follow.
